(HARRISBURG) Workers at York / Adams Mental Health and Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities (MH-IDD) have recently approved a three-year collective bargaining agreement with their employer. SEIU Local 668 represents nearly 100 Caseworkers and Drug & Alcohol Specialists with York / Adams MH-IDD.
“Every day, workers at York / Adams MH - IDD support individuals in crisis and provide essential services that put people back on a path to wellness. These are difficult jobs, and it’s easy to take the work home with you at the end of the day. This contract provides a much-needed raise and protects workers’ rights on the job,” stated Chris Ellis, SEIU 668 business agent.
The contract includes the highest wage increase over a decade, with raises ranging from 10% to 12% over three years. The agreement also provides retirement security, the formation of several new worker committees, and strong non-discrimination language.
