As the nation is aware, the alarming rate of violence in Philadelphia continues to rise every single day. Children are not safe in schools, families are not safe running errands or going to the park, and workers are not safe while on the job.
SEIU Local 668 members in Chapter 12, representing workers in Philadelphia County, are coming together to say enough is enough. We must come together to find solutions on how to make state offices safer for workers, clients, and the community!
This month, we'll be holding a number of events to call attention to the escalating violence in Philly and what we as workers and community members can do to make our city safer. Please join us at one or all of the breakout events between December 13th and December 17th--we'll be rallying with fellow workers and community organizations at state offices and making the call to end the violence now.
We will be holding a large worker-led rally on Friday, December 17th at Noon with coalition partners, elected officials, and press joining us.
Breakouts will be held in Philadelphia:
Monday, 12/13 @ Noon: Glendale District County Assistance Office (CAO) 5201 Old York Rd.
Tuesday, 12/14 Somerset District CAO 2701 N. Broad St.
Wednesday, 12/15 South District CAO 1163 S. Broad St.
Thursday, 12/16 Chelten District CAO 301 E. Chelten Ave.
Friday, 12/17 @ Noon Philadelphia County Assistance Office (CAO) Headquarters 801 Market St.
Please join us as we come together in solidarity to protect our workers and our communities.
